i think its embarassing for the person, because he/she is watched by everybody. So i mostly start laugin, because i think its funny when their faces becoming red...
The last time it happened to me it wasn't my birthday. I was with my friend at Carnival, I walked to the bathroom, when I came back all the servers were singing and clapping around the table. So walked up behind them and started randomly clapping.
I dispise when happy birthday is sung in any public place. I do not sing along. I don't even watch. I sit there looking in the other direction. If I am the one being sung to, I may even get up and walk away. I find the happy birthday song, no matter who it's being sung to, extremely unnecessary.
i actually try to take advantage of the situation because most of the time the restaurant doesnt charge you for the ice cream or whatever they give the birthday person so its worth the embarrasment.
my face turns so red i sweat like a banchie dab it off with a paper towel then scream bloody murder like this "AHHHHHHHHHHH" oh girl thats how my birthday rolls!
Well this happened to some people when Preston and I were at iHop. But when it happens to me i love it because then everyone looks and me and i get a couple looks from some cute ladies, then i holla at em.
I am extremely embarrassed when waiters sing me "Happy Birthday." Once, when I was in Yellowstone, they sang a modified version to the tune of "Home on the Range." "Happy Birthday to you, from the Yellowstone crew, have fun and enjoy your great day!"
At Ihop this weekend somebody had a birthday. I always wonder if they are lying or if it really is there birthday. Kameron and I sang along with the staff and had a wonderful time.
If they are singing to me i hold my hand to my ear so they sing louder or i just ginore it and keep eatinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
If they are singing to someone else I usually jump in and sing with them and clap and cheer when they're done. If they are singing to me I just smile and say thank you! :)
I feel awkward, since the only place that i mention it's my birthday at happens to be at applebees, from everyone looking at over and I slowly sink under the table like I've done for the past 14yrs of my life
A glare and a facepalm
