Prudence

Prudence is spiritual common sense. It is the ability to make a correct moral choice and decide the means to achieve it through proper behavior.

Describe a time where you exhibited prudence.

  5. This one I thought to speed because I was running late so I decided to speed. It was going good till I saw a cop and decided to slow down and take my time instead of risking getting a ticket.

  6. One time I majorly showed Prudence was when i got into a car accident. The drive of the othe car started to assault me and instead of fighting back I remained calm and waited for an officer to show up. At that point in time things had calmed down and he got into more trouble then I.

  8. I used prudence when a friend and I went to a gas station and I had cargo pants on. he wanted me to steal four red bulls. I don't even like red bulls. But seriously kids, red bull and stealing are both bad.

  14. I witnessed purdence while at work one day. I work at Avera McKennan Hospital and a girl I work with noticed a man in a wheelchair was having a hard time getting around. Instead of ignoring him, she walked up to him and helped him find the things he needed.

  17. At work I showed prudence when I was in casual dining. (I work at Hy-Vee) An old couple both had canes and I offered to get everything for them. She gave me the number for their meals and then the money for their meals and instead of giving myself a tip (coulda gotten fired) I just rang it up gave her the change and then got their drinks.

  29. One time i was driving down my street and i saw a squirrel and i was about to speed up to see if i could hit him then decided not to because it would probobly stain my tires so i slowed down and let him pass.

  32. I have shown prudence when I have something to say that is less than nice and I hold my tongue. Last night my sister got a new dress that I thought was ugly but I held my tongue and didn't say anything mean about it.

  38. I feel as if it's hard to come up with an example of prudence. I guess anytime I choose not to be a jerk to somebody else? It's hard to really give a specific time when you didn't do something wrong.

One time I was speeding on the interstate, and suddenly saw a cop and he made a wierd face at me and I slammed on my brakes to slow down to the speed limit and got off the nearest exit, just incase he would try to go for me, and I looked to the left and there he was with his sirens on going down the interstate.At that time I did not know if he was looking for me or there must of been another speeder. Now I know not to go over the speed limit, because you never know where the cop is, unless your smart to have a radar detector in your car.

  48. I am in charge of a number of people every thursday- responsible for their actions, words, and what they do....
    This past weekend, i had to turn in one of my cadets for an action that could have taken her to court. It was very hard to turn her in, but was what I needed to do as her boss, and as her friend

  51. honestly, the majority of the time i make the wrong deicision and ignore prudence but there are still a lot of times where i do choose to do the right thing. but those are minor, everyday cases like deciding to do my homwork and just keeping my priorities straight.

  53. When I worked at the hospital it was really easy to steal food and drinks and say they were the patients'. After doing it a couple times I felt really guilty and ended up going back and paying back out of my pay check.
